Luke Kameg started on the mound, and the righty gave up zero hits and zero runs over two innings of work. Aamir Mitchell provided pop in the middle of the lineup and led the team with three runs batted in. Aamir went 2-3 in the game.
In a sold-out environment full of scouts and four-year college coaches, the Stars got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Evan Mendoza doubled and Alec Cutter grounded out, each scoring runs.
It came down to the wire on Sunday at Kircher Municipal Field, as Lansing grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 7-6, over Mid-Michigan. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the seventh when Evan Mendoza singled, scoring one run.
