Took home 3rd!

Took home 3rd!

RYWC took to the mat on Saturday in our league's season finale, the Western CT Elementary & Middle School Championship. 29 of our 50 club members competed and I am proud to say we took home 3rd place as a team. This is the third consecutive Western Championship the RYWC has placed, but certainly the first time we relied so heavily on our brand new wrestlers. What a testament to their dedication this season.

Lots of live wrestling at the John Jay Scrimmage, Danbury Youth Tournament and our weekly dual vs Newtown. We got to see lots of wins (and loses) but best of all, our boys showed effort, courage and grit whenever they stood out on the mat. Everyone should be very proud of themselves.
