Great Job Girls!

The G06 Silzer girls were able to hold off a tough Beach FC South Bay Lopez team this afternoon to secure another win. While the breeze from the nearby coastline was cool and relaxing for the spectators, it was another story for the girls playing on the field, and our Slammer girls battled through both the wind and the physical aggressiveness of their opponents to get the ball into the net.

Congratulations to the G06 Silzer Slammer girls! After an early goal in the first half, the girls lit it up in the second half, working as a cohesive unit, scoring 5 more goals by 4 different shooters (Sophie, Noelle, Emma, and Brooke), to secure a shutout win of 6-0 over Beach FC. The girls did an excellent job of maintaining ball possession by finding the open player and passing the ball through traffic to keep pressure up against the opposing team. Goals were scored from the back line, from corner kicks and from simply hustling all the way to the net.

Game 2 vs La Mirada FC

The girls rolled to a decisive 13-1 win vs La Mirada.

4-2 win vs Barcelona USA in Game 1 at the Cerritos Memorial Cup.

The girls started the game out strong and played their way to a 1-0 halftime lead.
