A triple-header of lacrosse action at Blue & Gold Stadium on May 14 was about much more than players hitting the back of the net and the final scores.
Possession very often is the name of the game in lacrosse, and for Newtown High School’s girls’ lacrosse team, domination in the draw circle lead to a convincing 17-8 win over visiting nonconference foe Glastonbury, at Blue & Gold Stadium, on May 14.
It was an Immaculate game in more ways than one.
One game after an overtime heartbreaker, Newtown High School’s girls’ lacrosse team got back to its one-goal winning ways with a 6-5 victory at Joel Barlow of Redding.
