The first round of the CIF Southern Regional Individual playoffs again showed its teeth with a super competitive field of 116 players teeing it up at Skylinks golf course in Long Beach on Monday 5/6/19.
Day two of the Wave league golf tournament was played at Skylinks golf course in Long Beach. This is the same course where the first round of CIF individual playoffs will be held, so it gives the players a good test. They played from the tips with the par 72 course coming in at 6909 yards.
The two day Wave league tournament started at San Clemente Municipal golf course on Monday, 4/29/19. The players will play 18 holes each day; the top 12 players and ties on the first day make the cut and move on to the second day. At the end of the second day, the scores from each day are added together and the top 6 players qualify for CIF individual playoffs.
Laguna lost to Fountain Valley 203-231 for our second Wave League match at Mile Square golf course in Fountain Valley. Unfortunately we didn't have all our starters for this match, just before spring break, and realistically "we didn't have the horses" to compete with the strongest team in our league.
