Warriors Season Ends with a 38-6 Loss in the Quarter Finals

It was a long hard fought season, but the Santa Clarita Warriors fell to the Santa Barbara Saints on Saturday. We only had 9 teammates show up to play at the game. Showing that our teammates and parents still have a lot to learn about what it means to be on a football team. The boys that were there fought hard and gave it their all.

Warriors advance in the playoffs after a victory over Fillmore Raiders 50-42

The home town Santa Clarita Warriors won their first ever playoff game in the wildcard round advancing to the quarter finals. We had the opportunity to play the either team closer to our age and weight class this week (even though their quarterback was still a 3rd grader). It was the best game of the season for both teams and everyone had a blast. The Warriors were in control the whole game through most of its entirety. The Warriors were up 48-30 with 4:51 left in the 4th quarter when the Raiders scored a few times as time ran out.

Undefeated Santa Barbara Saints Route SVC Warriors in 40-0 blowout

Well it was the best game we’ve played in weeks on offense and we had far less turnovers than we have the past few weeks. This one was a bit less painful knowing we were so outmatched. The Saints are undefeated and have mostly 3rd graders on their team. The other coaches were nice the refs were in to helping some of our confused guys. We played the game with only 13 teammates on the nice cool Saturday morning in Santa Barbara.

Warriors fall to 1-3 in a fun game against The Fillmore Raiders Black

The Mighty Mite Warriors were a bit outmatched this week against a much larger and more experienced Fillmore Raiders (Black) team. They were originally slotted to be in division 1, but somehow ended up in division 2 with us. The boys were in great spirits at the end of the game and we all talked about how much we love football after. We lost 50-14.
