CA — The Jserra frosh soph boys tennis team had their first win of the season today against the Sage Hill Lightning! This is the first win of the season and an awesome win captured on our home courts! Way to go lions! The singles swept all 9 sets with wins coming from Niko winning all 3 sets 6-0! Leo won all 3 sets as well going 6-1, 6-1 and 6-3. Calvin won 2 of 2 6-0 and 6-2. Christopher Kempf pinch hit for us, winning his set 6-2. In doubles, Kon and Scotty brought the first doubles win, winning their match 6-4. Finally, Owen and Santiago also helped with an additional point from the doubles winning their set 6-3. Wes, Cruz and Landon fought hard in their matches with many long rallies and impressive match play. The team showed focus in trying to get first serves in, increased communication in doubles and support for their teammates. Great win today boys, and let's bring the Lion fighting spirit against Foothill tomorrow!
