The JSerra Girls Soccer team picked up its' first win at the 2023 Varsity National Showcase in comeback fashion.
Junior Sydney Schuler scored the match-winning goal in the final two minutes of regulation, as the Lions edged West Hills High, 2-1, Friday afternoon at Montgomery High in San Diego.
JSerra improves to 5-1-3 on the season.
The Lions trailed 1-0 at the intermission, but sophomore Peyton Marinos tied the match in the second half before assisting Schuler’s game-winner in the waning moments of the match.
