Duarte Falcons tenacious defense forced 20 turnovers an route to its 1st Ever CIF Championship.
Duarte held off a very tough Nogales team tonight 64-60 to move to 3-0 in league play and 16-4 overall. Devon Hemsely had 24 pts and 11 Rebs and Danny Piña added 17 pts and 5 assist. Falcons are back in action in Friday Vs Gladstone at home.
The boys did a great job of bouncing back after a tough double overtime loss the night before. Game got a little intense towards the end but the Falcons prevailed with a 61-52 win.
Tonight the Falcons faced of against the San Dimas Saints. The game lived up to the hype if the upstart Duarte Falcons and the established program of San Dimas. Duarte was able to keep pace and had two chances at the end of regulation and the first overtime to win the game. San Dimas did a great job forcing contested shots but at the end San Dimas pulled away in Double Overtime. The Gal one were led by Danny Piña who scored 30 points 6 reb and 4 Asst. Eli Baxter added 14 points with three 3 pointers💣
