In a dominant performance, Anacortes defeated Ferndale 3-1.
In a dominant performance, Anacortes defeated Meridian 3-0. The first half was a back and forth battle with both teams registering several quality scoring chances, but the Seahawks took control in the second half off of goals from Brennan Harrington, Maverick Ball and Owen Jacobson.
The Anacortes Seahawks demonstrated incredible grit and determination as they scored late in the game to draw even with Burlington. Dealing with injuries and eligibility issues, the Seahawks started the game with no subs. After losing a player to injury, Anacortes was forced to play with ten players, but were still able to find a way to come from behind to score an equalizer.
I was so proud of these young men, and their ability to demonstrate a resilience that I had not seen from them prior.
