Zoey Hron put one in on a free kick from Rachel Hartfelder in the first half. Esperanza came back in the second half and scored on a corner kick to end the game in a tie 1-1.
Canyon and Valencia were scoreless at the half Wednesday night in Tiger Stadium. In the second half, Tyler Pamprin served a corner and Karys McKinney was able to put her head on it to give Canyon the lead 1-0. A few minutes later, Tyler Pamprin served up another corner that Heather Greenbaum was able to connect with. Congrats to our defense on another shutout! Great job Canyon! 2-0!
Heather Greenbaum started off the scoring for Canyon with an assist from Karys McKinney. The scoring continued as Bella Gutierrez worked to put in the rebound from Karys McKinney’s shot. Cassie Haydis started the third scoring drive with a great pass to Sydney Moss, who connected with Heather Greenbaum to finish off the scoring for Canyon! Great teamwork! Our defense was able to keep a shut out in the back. Congrats on an awesome win!
Canyon and Oxnard battled hard and at the end of the second half there was no score taking the game into penalty kicks. Canyon came up short giving Oxnard the win.
