Four hits from Ashley Hubner helped lead the way for Newtown Nighthawks Varsity over New Fairfield 14-1 on Monday. Hubner singled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the third, and singled in the fourth.
Even though Newtown Nighthawks Varsity and Notre Dame Catholic both had their opportunities, it was Notre Dame Catholic that eventually prevailed 15-14 on Friday. Newtown Nighthawks Varsity was down 10-9 in the top of the seventh inning when Brianna Pellicone homered on a 1-2 count, scoring three runs.
