There has never been a young player who has not dreamed of playing in the final game of the year. Not just the final game for his team. The final game period! The championship game! The winner take all!
The Loara Saxons arrived at Kennedy High Friday afternoon on a blustery, overcast day, to take on the Fighting Irish in a Quarter Final CIF playoff matchup. The Garden Grove League champions, where they went 15-0, were sporting a 9 game winning streak and had knocked off highly respected St. Paul in an upset win on Tuesday. A victory would put them in the CIF semi-finals for the first time since 1983.
Life is always presenting new challenges. What happens today may be the exact opposite of what is coming tomorrow. If one is to survive and thrive, they must be ready to adapt to whatever may be thrown at them and always find a new way to overcome.
