Tough Win at Home

Lady coyotes had their hands full with Notre dame in the Den, however the lady coyotes held on to win the game 55-45, with the Bigs holding down the paint and controlling the boards. Neveah manning notched another double double by scoring 12 points and grabbing 20 rebounds and 1 block, Mya Clark cleaned up on boards as well, grabbing 18 rebounds. Junior Akyiaha Simpson led the lady coyotes by scoring 14 points and 4 steals. when the Game got tough the lady coyotes got a huge spark off the bench from Kelsei Robinson who controlled the tempo down the stretch adding 9 crucial points and 4 steals 2 blocks and 7 deflections. Ayannah Rivas shared the ball extremely well, she scored 6 points 6 rebounds and handed out 5 assist on the night. lady coyotes now are 5-1 in league play and 12-6 overall. They face off against Perris High School in the den on Tuesday at 6:15 PM

Sluggish start but impressive finish

Orange vista started off the game with an unusual line up that included one starter. after the first quarter the starting five entered the game and there was no looking back. Neveah manning led all scorers with 17 points 12 rebounds and 4 steals to lead her team. Orange vista also got a big performance from freshman Tiffany Wynne who scored 16 points 5 rebounds and 7 steals. Junior Akyiaha Simpson chipped in 10 points and sopmore Mya clark also had a huge showing scoring 10 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. and junior Reaanna Wilkins scored 5 points 6 assist and 4 steals in a victory over Arlington.

LADY COYOTES HOLD ON TO THE WIN

After a slow start in the den the lady coyotes began to find a rhythm, with the score being 14-11 at the half OV came out with a burst of energy and eventually pulled away leading by 20 points going into the final stretch, however was unable to hold onto the lead as Paloma valley went on a run cutting the lead to within 10, despite Paloma valleys run OV was able to maintain the lead with Kelsei Robinson knocking down her free throws. OV went on to win the game by a score of 50-43 a total team effort, Kelsei Robinson led the way with 13 points shooting 2 of 2 from the 3, Akyiaha Simpson also had a huge night for coyotes, by scoring 11 points and adding a record of 10 steals in the contest. OV also got contributions from Ayannah Rivas scoring 8 points Reeanna Wilkins scored 8 points, perfect from 3, and 8 points from Tiffany Wynne off the bench.

RECORD BREAKING NIGHT

Tonight’s game was a total team effort, however two players are making headlines for their BIG play in the paint. Neveah manning and Mya Clark completely dominated the paint. Both putting up a double double. Mya Clark set an orange Vista girls basketball record with 20 rebounds 13 offensive rebounds, 7 defensive rebounds, and 12 points, while Neveah manning also played Big in the paint grabbing a total of 15 rebounds and 13 points to lead orange Vista over desert mirage, 52-20
