Girls Varsity Flag Football beats Terra Nova 18 - 6

The Bearcats (10-7, 6-5) closed out their 2024 season in style, defeating the Terra Nova Tigers 18-6 in a dominant league win. Quarterback Kayla Lichaa was on fire, throwing three touchdown passes, including two connections with Zoe Lichaa and another to Amara Vendel-Williams. Vendel-Williams also anchored the defense with an impressive eight flag pulls.

Girls Varsity Flag Football beats Summit Prep 46 - 13

The Bearcats (9-7, 5-5) clinched a winning record with a Senior Night victory at home against Summit Prep. There were plenty of highlights from the four seniors as Amara Vendel-Williams put up 100 yards rushing, including a 30 yard TD run and a defensive return to the house on a Summit Prep two point conversion. Aundrea McCauley hauled in a 13 yard touchdown reception in the first half and added three defensive flag pulls with one sack. Cinthya Cantillo Medina was tied for a team high with four defensive flag pulls. Scarlet Garcia-Gutierrez added three defensive flag pulls and an extra point conversion.

Girls Varsity Flag Football falls to Aragon 12 - 7

The Bearcats (8-7, 5-5) played a defensive battle against the crosstown Aragon Dons at home. Kayla Lichaa connected with Zoe Lichaa for a three yard touchdown pass in the first half, and defensively Prisha Prasad had six flag pulls with Aundrea McCauley adding a sack. Next up for the Bearcats will be their final home game of the season on Monday the 28th at 6:30 p.m. for Senior Night.

Girls Varsity Flag Football falls to Hillsdale 25 – 18

The Bearcats (8-6, 5-4) lost to the Hillsdale Knights on Monday 10/21/24. Valentina Gomez Palacio was the player of the game with 48 rushing yards and 37 receiving yards and 1 touchdown. Prisha Prasad, Aundrea McCauley, and Janely Salazar all led the defense with 6 flag pulls each. Next up for the Bearcats will be a battle with Aragon High School at SMHS on Oct. 23rd.
