The Lancers repeat as Class 3A Champs by defeating Section Rival, Burrell!!
The Lancers traveled to Blackhawk High School for a non-section game and came away with a 27 point victory. Deer Lakes was led by Nathaniel Moore with 22 points, Billy Schaeffer with 18, Collin Rodgers with 13 and Wayne Love with 11 points. The Lancers trailed by 3 after the 1st quarter and then turned up the defensive pressure in the second quarter and never let their feet off the gas. Deer Lakes moves to 14-2 overall and look to keep their unbeaten section record on Tuesday as they travel to Burrell.
The Deer Lakes Lancers took on the Valley Vikings tonight and had the running clock going early in the third quarter. The Lancers defensive pressure kept the Vikings on their heels all night. Deer Lakes was led by Billy Schaeffer with 22 points. Collin Rodgers had 18 and Nathaniel Moore dropped 10. Senior Wayne Love chipped in 9. Deer Lakes moves to 10-2 and 5-0 in section play amd will travel to Shadyside Academy next Wednesday in a big section matchup.
The Lancers knocked down 14 3 pointers and used smothering defense to stymie the Vikings by the score of 71-26. Deer Lakes was led by Billy Schaeffer with 26 points, dropping 8 3's. Collin Rodgers scored 15 and JT McCue dropped 12 with 4 3's. The Lancers move to 9-2 (4-0) and will play Valley on Friday at home.
