Eric Walker went 9 innings giving up only 2 hits and no runs. Struck out 7, walked 1. Scott Gackstetter got the save. Defense was tight in extra innings and Wildcats get the WIN in their first league game! Brock Denbo was 2-4, including the game winning RBI driving in Andrew Ryan in the top of the 10th.
Varsity hit the dirt again Thursday at home. Brea beat Yorba Linda 1-0 in the bottom of the 7th, bases loaded, with a walk-off walk to Eric Walker for the game’s only run. Walker also got the win with 7 shutout innings. He struck out 3, walked 1. #walkerwiththewalkoffwalk #wildcatsbaseball
