Not sure if it was the heat or a long second week of school but the Marauder freshmen football team never got it going. The San Marcos Knights rolled to a 22-0 halftime lead throwing a deep pass up the right sideline with 10 seconds remaining in the half!!!
The young Marauders opened up the 2019 season in stellar fashion. The Marauders deferred the opening kickoff and sent the defense out to set the tone for the day. The Grossmont QB made a couple of nice plays with his feet but was eventually shut down by a swarming Marauder defense in the red zone.
Freshmen are playing a combined game with JV players against Morse JV which includes freshmen as they are not able to field a full freshman squad.
The young Marauders overcome early deficit to secure third win of the season beating neighborhood rival 32-21!!!
