Room for Improvement
The Chargers lost an exciting game against Schurr Thursday night. The Chargers came out strong, knocking down three 3’s and taking a commanding 12-2 lead in the opening minutes of the game. Schurr answered, with 3 pointers of their own and plenty of fastbreak layups. They capitalized on Charter Oak’s turnovers, which made it difficult for the Chargers to regain their lead. Despite the loss, the Chargers had an exceptionally balanced offense, with seven players scoring at least five points. Despite foul trouble, Sam Mason led the Chargers again in scoring with 13 points, followed by Ruben Alvarado with 8, who knocked down 2 three’s off the bench. The Chargers are now 5-1 on the season, and will play their last game of the Baldwin Park Tournament Saturday afternoon.
