Tigers Late Rally Efforts Fall Short
The Tigers lose a tough battle tonight to a very solid Pinckneyville team 11-7. After falling behind 5-0 in the first, the Tigers managed to score 3 runs in the top of the second led by singles from Sophie Schramm and Madison Monchino, to cut the deficit by 2. Back-and-forth play over the next couple of innings led to an 11-4 lead for the Panthers heading into the 6th inning. Ultimately, the Tiger's late-inning rallies in the 6th and 7th would fall just short. The Tiger offense left 11 runners on base and outhit the opposition 13 hits compared to 10. Leading the way at the plate tonight was freshman Madison Monchino, going 3-4 with 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored. Overall, it was a great team effort, great team energy, and a great fight to never back down! Tigers will battle back strong and continue to improve!
