Knights Battle to Win in TOC Opener
The Lady Knights opened the Tournament of Champions tournament in Bullhead City AZ by beating the host school, Mohave Thunderbirds, 4-3. The Knights jumped out in front when Sam Polowski hit a two run home run in the third inning. Marissa Mazurie pitched four strong innings giving up three runs on five hits. The Knights were able to scratch out 2 runs in the 5th by playing small ball. Sarah Bubier and Mikayla Prudholme scored to give Foothill the lead. Stella Turner came in and pitched two innings to shut the Thunderbirds to hold on for the win.
