Mustangs Come Up Just Short in Rivalry Game With Rebels
The mustangs lost a heart breaker against their region and county rival Effingham County High School on Valentines evening Tuesday February 14th. It was a very evenly matched affair with both teams trading blows throughout. Effingham county would eventually take the lead in the second half, and maintain it until the final moments of the 4th quarter when the Mustangs would display their never give up attitude yet again, bringing the score to within one. Unfortunately with just a half a minute to go the Rebels were able to hold on for the win in spite of the last second heroics put on by the Mustangs.
