Girls’ Soccer Team Bounces Back From First Defeat With Big Victories (By Andy Hutchison of The Newtown Bee)

Newtown High School’s girls’ soccer team followed up its first setback of the season, a 3-2 loss at South-West Conference rival Bethel on October 13 with a 2-1 victory over nonconference foe Suffield on the road, two days later. The Nighthawks hosted Masuk of Monroe in another SWC contest, on Senior Night, October 18, and blanked the Panthers 2-0.
