Mental Mistakes Cost the Pioneers
When it rains it pours. At game time, the howling north winds were a precursor to what was ahead for the Pioneers. The wind-blown dust was a like a microcosm of errors that proved too costly. A late rally down 8-3 to come back within 2 and strand 2 to end the come was just a hard pill to swallow. Fielding errors, wild throws, badly timed miscues all hurt the boys too much in the nightcap.
