Tough fought victory

The game started with a forced fumble on defense and ended with a onside kickoff recovery. SEAS was ready for us, a defense lead game with us holding only a 6-0 lead at halftime. The second half produced a long touchdown run, and a time eating long touchdown drive that almost sealed the game. After giving up a late touchdown, our special teams was prepared and got the onside kick and kneeled to end the game. This gives our team a perfect 2-0 on the road! Let’s go Blue Devils!

Win or Learn

Proud of the continued effort of the boys. Never once did they quit, and mounted a great comeback that fell a little short. A great life lesson. Everyone kept their head up and are moving forward. Everyone is now focused on our big rival Petoskey. We either win or learn, there is no defeat on this team!
Defense shows up!

Defense shows up!

From the first defensive possession which resulted in a recovered fumble. To the end when an interception and return for a TD sealed the game. Defense came out swinging. Kingsley had several long drives, two of which got them inside the 10 yard line. But each time they got close, the defense pushed them back. The offense only had four possessions for the entire game and made the most out of them. One being a 96 yard drive that gave us a 12-0 lead. Each player has bought in and are playing for each other. An exciting way to start the 2022 8th grade season.

Fight to the whistle every play!

The game began with a 4th and goal stand by our defense and ended with a 4th and goal stand by their defense. And in between was a hard fought game on both sides. Nothing can build character and resilience better than a tough loss. Life lessons that are well learned at this age. Time to pick ourselves back up and get after for the last home game of the season!
