Ionia Takes 4th at Hastings invite

Ionia Varsity Wrestling team placed 4th out of 9 teams today at the Hastings Individual tournament. Ionia had 15 wrestlers competing today and 7 Bulldogs placed in the top 4 coming home with Medals. Out of the 7 medalist Ionia came home with 1 Champion Hunter Barker at 150 pound weight class pinning his way through the tournament and going 3-0. We had 3 wrestlers take 2nd place Freshman Jackson Gallagher at 113 pounds, Senior Nathan Clute at 165 pounds and Senior Chase Holford at 190 pounds. Chris Smith at Heavy Weight went 3-1 today bringing home a 3rd place medal and both our 106 pounders placed today Ricky Charon took 3rd and Aaron Wolthuis Came home with a 4th place medal. Also getting a win on the day were wrestlers Austin Murphy and Gabe Rogers.
