Buena beats Camarillo for the second time
The Buena frosh played the Camarillo frosh on Thursday and won the game by a score of 22 - 6 to go 3 and 4 on the season. We played well on both offense and defense with many players contributing to the victory. On offense we rushed for a season high 258 yards. Leading the way were offensive linemen Grant Barajas, Jonathon Cortez, Donovan Cox, Michael Gibson and David Arambula. Tyler Hoff rushed for 178 yards and one touchdown while Aaron Cesario rushed for 80 yards. Elijah Paris threw a 11 yard touchdown pass to Jackson Carter. Tyler Hoff also threw a touchdown pass to Joshua Ullegue of 24 yards. Joy Lazaro kicked two point after touchdowns in the game. Defensively, after giving up a first quarter touchdown to Camarillo, we shut them out for the next three quarters. Leading the way on defense were Aaron Cesario, Roman Chavarria and Adrian Hinojosa who all had interceptions in the game. Linebackers Hudson Machado and Tauha Siddiqi also played well. In the secondary our safeties of Jackson Pohmisano and Joshua Jimenez also contributed to the win. Our next game will be at San Marcos high school Thursday October 14 at 4:00 pm.
