The JSerra Girls Basketball team put forth a valiant effort against Santa Margarita on Monday, but the Eagles pulled away in the second half for a 64-47 victory in a Trinity League game at Santa Margarita High. JSerra is now 18-8 on the season. The Lions trailed by 10 points after the first quarter, but whittled the deficit to four at halftime, trailing 28-24. However, Santa Margarita surged in the second half, outscoring JSerra 36-23 to seal the win. Freshman Rosie Santos led the Lions with 12 points, five steals, and four assists. Freshman Shae Talleur scored 11 points and collected four rebounds, with freshman Addie Nolan adding 10 points and five rebounds.
