The JSerra Boys Lacrosse team continued their perfect start to the season, as the Lions dispatched the Trabuco Hills Mustangs, 11-3, in a nonleague game on Tuesday at Trabuco Hills High.
The Lions improved to 4-0 on the season, and in the process, exacted a measure of retribution against the Mustangs who defeated them by a goal last season in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs.
Sophomore Cob Sprague led the way on offense, scoring five goals and adding an assist.
Senior Jack Neiger was strong in goal for the Lions, recording nine saves.
Lions head coach Adam Guy also credited senior Jack Zimmer with a stellar effort on the defensive end.
“He (Jack) was outstanding as a defensive midfielder,” Guy said. “He doesn’t get a lot of stats in his position, but he was all over the place for us tonight.”
