Pro Agility Shuttle The Pro Agility Shuttle is one of my favorite Assessment tools for testing an athletes quickness and change of direction. When testing first make sure you know the rules to avoid disqualification. This way you can practice effectively as well. Three Ways I test 1️⃣Pure Effort- this allows me to recognize an athletes IQ and default setting 2️⃣ Coach technique and help athlete find EFFORTLESS; this includes proper posture, positions, joint angles, vision etc... 3️⃣ Effort + Effortless- this involves putting EFFORT into EFFORTLESS. The goal is to be quick and fast without sacrificing control. We had four athletes test between 4.1- 4.3 (hand timer) Not bad given COVID-19. Goal times for College Prep: Skill Positions- Should score between 4-4.4 (Under 4 would be NFL speed) OL/DL- should score between 4.6- 4.9 Average Times Skill- 4.5- 4.8 OL/DL- 4.9- 5.2 I hope this helps
