Jr. Varsity Baseball (2019 - 2020) Team Record (5 - 5, 0 - 1)

The Huntington Beach Oilers blanked the JV Lions early in the week, but the team roared back to defeat the Birmingham Patriots 8-3 this past Thursday. After spotting the Patriots an early lead, the Lions offense exploded for twelve hits. Jake Bourne collected three knocks and scored three runs on the day. Dom Smaldino (2 RBI) and Brandon Chang (1 RBI) had multi-hit games, too. Shaun McCaghren, Ben Reimers, Andrew Lamb, and Mac Zawistoski also produced ribbies for the team. Nick Galleta earned the victory on the mound for the Lions, pitching two perfect innings and striking out three Patriots. Next up, the team begins Trinity League play versus the SMCHS Eagles.
