The JSerra Boys Basketball team continued its path toward the Open Division playoffs with a 49-32 road victory over the Santa Margarita Eagles on Tuesday night at Santa Margarita High.
JSerra, which earned its’ first ever No. 1 ranking by the Orange County Register this week, has now won five straight games and improves to 23-4
on the season (6-3 in league).
After a low scoring first half that saw the Lions take a 17-15 lead into halftime, JSerra seized control of the game in the third period by outscoring Santa Margarita 20-5.
Senior Aidan Fowler led a balanced scoring effort for the Lions with 12 points, while also grabbing five rebounds.
Freshman Godschoice Eboigbodin tallied 11 points.
Senior Sebastian Rancik added 10 points and a team-best seven rebounds.
