La Mirada Track and Field has been dedicated to building the strength of our athletes to increase the potential for generating power in our individual events. We are the only sport on campus that allows both boys and girls to train in the weight room at the same time. Our girls can do all the same lifts that our boys can do. And on many occasions they lift more. Especially our throwers. Old school track was β€œonly throwers lift”. The modern program helps every athlete on the track squad to get stronger while reducing the rate of injury. Our distance team strength trains as well.
