The JSerra Basketball team claimed fifth place in the National Division at the Torrey Pines Holiday Classic with a 67-53 triumph over Montgomery High of San Diego on Saturday afternoon at Torrey Pines High.
JSerra, which won three of their four games in the tournament, closes out the nonleague portion of the season with a 15-1 overall record.
Senior Drew Bowman scored a game-high 19 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field, including connecting on 5-of-9 from behind the three-point line.
Senior Sebastian Rancik added 15 points and a team-high seven rebounds, while senior Aidan Fowler scored 12 points, dished out a team-leading six assists, and collected five rebounds.
