The JSerra Baseball team appeared headed for a tight home win on Thursday evening, but a final inning three-run rally by Cypress resulted in a 4-2 victory over the Lions at JSerra High.
JSerra is now 4-3-1 on the season.
The Lions jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI double by senior Dmitri Susidko and a sacrifice fly by sophomore Marcus Greis.
JSerra held a 2-1 lead with one out in the seventh inning, but the Centurious tied the game on a bunt single and then scored two more runs on a double steal that result in a run and an RBI double.
Susidko and fellow senior Charlie Caruso each went 1-for-3 and scored a run for the Lions.
Sophomore Takashi Rutherford, senior Charlie Jeter, junior Jordan Marian collected the other hits for JSerra.
