The JSerra Girls Lacrosse team was triumphant in their home debut on Thursday afternoon, as the Lions defeated Palos Verdes 16-8 in a nonleague game at JSerra High. The Lions (2-0) have won their first two games of the season by a combined score of 33-10. Sophomore Kate Berkus scored three of her four goals in the first half to help stake JSerra to a 7-3 halftime advantage. The Lions broke the game open in the third quarter by scoring six goals. Sophomore Addison Berg scored three of her team-high five goals in the second half. Senior Caitlin Quinn and junior Evelyn Devir each added two goals apiece. Seniors Dorina Marquis and Olivia Leddy, along with junior Lily Peguero each contributed a goal. Freshman goalie Ava Pearl produced four saves.
