Second Baseman

Kaitlin broke the game open with a 3-Run "Over the Fence" Homerun while playing flawless defense, contributing with 3 Putouts, 1 Assist, and starting a crisp Double Play. She was 2-3 at the plate and she later came in as the Closer with the bases loaded, the tying run in the on-deck circle, to pitch the final 2-Outs and earn her first Save.

Kaitlin performed flawlessly in the field and made laudatory plays throughout the game to include a double play and nice backhand on a ball hit up the middle. As the starting second baseman, she finished with 3 Putouts and 2 Assists. When called upon in-relief to pitch and protect the 1-run lead, in arguably the biggest game in team history in relation to championship implications, Kate faced 7 batters giving up only a Single and Striking Out a batter, preserving the lead and earning as Save. A very impressive feat, especially considering she is a Freshman. Offensively, Kate hit a solid Single to left field and Reached on Error which was a result of her great hustle to get to the bases and eventually resulted in her scoring the game winning Run.
