About Me
I'm just a country boy that lives in the small town of Honokaa located on the Hamakua Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. I've been riding horses, working cattle, and entering rodeos since I was five years old. Now that I'm in the 8th grade at Honoka'a High and Intermediate I am a member of the Nation Junior Wrangles Rodeo Association- Hawaii State- Hawaii District. As a competitor I enter daily team roping, calf roping, shoot dogging, goat tying, breakaway roping, bull riding, ribbon roping, and 22-long rifle. In the state of Hawaii, we also have our own state event called double mugging that I also enter. My coaches are Alan Greenwell and my dad Micah Brandt. Together they have me practicing 3 to 4 times a week making sure that I am analyzing every run, every ride, and every shot. Visualizing what I did right, what I did wrong, and how to perfect myself. My goal this year is to qualify for the National Finals Junior Wrangler Rodeo in Des Moines, Iowa. My goals after high school are to attend a rodeo college, obtain a degree in animal science, and live out my dream to rodeo across the United States of America.
