About Me
My name is Vivian Green and I take great pride in being a student-athlete. Although juggling schoolwork and softball has its challenges, making both work has only made me a better person. I have been playing softball for 5 years and currently play for the travel team Cal Panthers 18U as an outfielder. I absolutely love the sport! Out of the several sports I have played in the past, none have piqued my interest and been as rewarding as softball. I love the competitiveness, teamwork, comradery and beauty of the game – especially when our plays run smoothly and everyone is playing as one. However, as much as the lessons that I have learned from softball have helped make me a better person, working hard at being an honor student has also played a big roll toward that end. As with sports, pushing myself, working hard and being disciplined has also been key to my success as a student. Getting an A on that tough exam or an A on that difficult essay assignment also gives me great sense of pride and rewarding feeling. I work hard on the field and in the classroom, and continuing to do so in college will only make me that much prouder to wear the badge of a student-athlete.
