sheltongirlslacrosse HUGE SENIOR NIGHT
HUGE CONGRATS TO SENIOR GOALIE CAPTAIN ALLIE WURMS FOR HER
On a chilly Thursday night the Freshman Gaels proved to be too much for the Hamden Green Dragons defeating them 42-20. The Gael's defense had two defensive scores one of which came from defense tackle Ricky Fernandez-Salvador for the play of the game. Evan "Boots" Bouteiller ran in a pick 6 making this his 5th straight game with an interception. The Gaels secondary came up with a third inception from DB Kayden Lancaster making it a third takeaway for the Shelton defense.
The Gaels came out strong scoring in their opening drive with a nice long TD run from Cole St Pierre. The Gael's defense quickly got the ball back on a fumble recovery from Matt Gebuza giving the Gael's great field position for the second possession of the game. St Pierre again dominating the field with another break away run but knocked out of bounds at the 2 yard line setting the Gaels to a first and goal. A direct snap to AJ Hatfield lead to the Gaels second TD before the end of the first quarter.
