East Nicolaus vs Vanden

Last night's State Playoff ended with some tears. Throughout the night Vanden battle with all their might. The dug up attack after attack and pushed back, but in the end the night went to East Nicolaus. This was an outstanding season for Vanden. They won the D3 Section Title, and moved into the State playoff. The last time this was done was 2018. Their record 26-11. Ranked 133 in the State. These ladies are amazing and have a way of never giving up. They battle for pride, joy of the game and for each other. I will remember each one on this team. They are so much fun to be in the gym with and I have enjoyed every minute with them. Congrats to these ladies and all their supporters! Go Vikes!!!

Champianship Playoff Divison 3

Last night was a battle from start to finish. The Vikes took control of the first set, but at 20-18 our Lib Jazzy took a high ball and injured her hand. We finished set on in control 25-20. Set 2 was a rough start and we struggles with well placed attacks from Roseville and some errors of our own, losing 17-25. Set 3 and 4, Vanden hit the gas and worked like a well oiled machine taking down the Tigers to win the match. And there was much rejoicing! 😊

Ripon Christian vs Vanden

The 3rd round of the Playoff we faced, on our home court, Ripon Christian. They are a good team, but Vanden is better. Though it was a tight first set losing 23-25, Vanden kicked it in gear and dominated the rest of the night, setting Ripon down 25-13, 25-15 and 25-18. Once the Vikes got going there was not stopping them. Outstanding play all the way around from passing, setting and attacking. However once our blockers locked on, there was no stopping them. An outstanding 21 blocks on the night!

Ponderosa vs Vanden

Playoff match #2 with Ponderosa was another success. Vikes started with a slow burn and then set fire to the court last night. Poderosa could not compete against our defense and outstanding blocks. This pushed them to try and make us chase down there attacks, but our ground defense covered the floor. We next take on the 4th seeded Ripon Christian at home.
