Burnt Hills, NY — Burnt Hills captured the lead in the second inning. John Wells grounded out, scoring one run.
After a some defensive mishaps, Colonie took the lead back in the top of the third. Burnt Hills evened things up at four in the bottom of the third inning when Nate Deluke doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.
Colonie Central took the lead for good with three runs in the fourth inning. Cameron Aery singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Zack Ashline singled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.
Quinn Keller led things off on the mound for Colonie Central. The bulldog went seven innings, allowing four runs on eight hits, striking out five and walking zero.
Ben Hladun toed the rubber for the Spartans. Hladun allowed ten hits and eight runs, seven unearned, over five innings, striking out four. Wells threw two scoreless innings in relief.
