Recap
Pre game history lesson from Danny Day, followed by prayer
Rancho Santa Margarita, CA — We knew we were in for a dog fight today, a heated one at that, literally!
Danny swept all 3 singles sets and Zach had a huge come from behind upset win, surviving 6 set points at 4-5, winning last 3 games for a 7-5 victory vs SM line2.
Missing 2 starters in doubles forced us to make some changes, that didn't bode well in the long run, but KOach saw some good things today and is already planning for the rematch at JSerra in a few weeks. Nick Dubrow with Aiden German totally manhandled SM's line2 dubs, 6-0, right out of the gate, then proceeded to win in round 2, 6-3; before succumbing in the heat to SM's line1 team. Brock, playing with Gary today, had a chance to cut the head off the snake @ line1 dubs in round 1, but, couldn't break SM's serve and poach game. They did however win their subsequent matches; 6-3 and 6-1.
Good news is, I think we can regroup and get a split in the home/away format of the Trinity League, which would give us a co-championship, [should we win the rest of our matches]. Looking ahead, KOach noticed a 15-3 Servite win over OLu, [which is surprising] and a SM win over Bosco last week...So, right now, the unknown is Servite, who KOach never takes lightly as they are very-well coached.
Enjoy your vacay. PLEASE practice on your own!
