The Blaze players honored their favorite teachers post-game for Teacher Appreciation Day
Burnsville, MN — It was another tough game for the Blaze, losing 7-0 to Lakeville North on a sunny afternoon at Alimagnet. A 5-run first inning for the Panthers dug a hole that the Blaze were unable to dig out of. Panther right-hander Sam Baker threw a complete game 3-hitter to help sweep the season series over Burnsville.
The three hits for the Blaze came from Kade Bowar, Jackson Kieffer and Ben Meuser. Connor Quimby drew the only walk, and Ethan Voss was hit by a pitch.
Blake Schmeling started on the mound for Burnsville, going 3 innings giving up 6 runs. He struck out 2. Nick Hughes pitched 4 strong innings in relief, giving up only 1 run on 5 hits, 4 walks, and struck out 4.
