Newport Beach, CA — Corona Del Mar won the first round 4-2, but as they subbed liberally, JSerra caught up and finished with a huge, historical victory over the Sea Kings: 12-6! Legitimate head to head first round victories earned MVP honors for Rosalia Ripullo who defeated their best player 6-3 and for Julia Harkins, who defeated their #3 player by that same score. Rosalia was the only Lion to win all 3 sets played this afternoon - an outstanding performance. Julia Harkins and Sophia Gonzalez both won 2 of 3 sets played today in singles play. Winning 2 of 3 sets played in doubles: kudos to the teams of Sofia Recupero and Fionnuala McClain at #1 and Nicole Griffith with Erica Gonzalez at #2.
