Newport Coast, CA — Surrounded by ominous dark clouds, after passing through a brief shower on the toll road, our JV boys miraculously got all 18 sets of tennis in at Sage Hill in a cold but fun night match. Missing a couple of top players turned out to be the difference. Our top 2 singles players swept for the 6 sets on our tally sheet. MVP efforts today by Luke Krowlikowski and Kenny Perez, who won all their sets 6-1 or 6-2. Despite losing 3 sets, honorable mention goes to Parker Gibson who battled to get 4-6 in every set, including vs their #1 player in the final round. Max Chiotis and Sean Do came close in the final round of doubles, but got the same 4-6 close but no cigar score as Parker. Next up: Monday, March 15th, home vs El Toro, all doubles!
