Agoura, CA — The Chargers fought hard but couldn’t over come some costly mistakes . In the second inning Agoura opened up the scoring by loading the bases for Sami Tagawa who cleared them missing a grand slam by inches off the top of the fence. 3 Runs scored on the triple followed by Lilyann Locke sneak bunting Sami in the next at bat. Rachel Fox has a great at bat and drove in a run as well to put the score at 5-0. Later in the game Alyssa Anderson hit a shot to the center field fence that drove in the 6th and final run of the game for the Chargers. Unfortunately El Camino didn’t lay down and rallied backed to score 8 runs and ultimately win the game. It was a back and forth game vs a good El Camino team. A cleaner defensive game and the Chargers would have had this one. We will chalk it up to a learning lesson and get better from it moving forward. The Chargers play Kennedy on Saturday in the Semi Finals of the Simi tournament at 4pm where we hope to get back on track.
