San Juan Capistrano, CA — JSerra girls tennis clinched the outright Trinity League Championship today with a 12 to 6 home victory over Orange Lutheran. The win leaves the Lions with 7 straight victories, no losses; and one match left to play. SM and Mater Dei have 2 and 3 losses, respectively. JSerra hosts MAter Dei at home Thursday. In unprecedented fashion, JSerra's singles players; Kaley Houshmand, Jenna Lee and Taylor Barnes completely blanked all 3 of their opponents 6 - 0, resulting in 9 sets won, total games 54 to ZERO! Freshmen doubles duo, Sophia Moncur with Gabby Basa won 2 of 2 sets in doubles and Claire DeLaney with Katy Golbranson picking up the final 12th point. All doubles were pulled out in round 3 for subs.
