El Monte, CA — We drove out to El Monte for a hot 12:00pm game. The girls started a bit slow and Santa Monica got an early goal on a long pass where they quickly switched the field. In the second quarter Fury started to find their rhythm and we were making some great attacks. Jackie took a shot that rebounded off the crossbar. Stephanie picked up the rebound and took an awesome shot and scored to tie the game 1-1 right before half time. After halftime the Fury girls attacked again and again. Jackie scored a second goal on a brave challenge with the Santa Monica keeper and a defender to give us the lead. In the fourth quarter Santa Monica got through our defense for a 1v1 with Avery, our keeper. Avery came out and made the save like a hero and the game ended with a win for Fury. Great job girls!
