San Jacinto, CA — Upland was a very physical team, smashing us around and telling each other to do it too. We picked up a goal in the first half on a penalty kick from a handball in the box. Jackie put it in low in the left corner. In the second half we allowed a goal when Upland put a ball in across the box past our defense and had two players there outnumbering our keeper, Avery. Upland’s attack came on strong from the start all the way to the end. We switched our formation to a 4 back to help deal with their forwards waiting in between our back line and the defense mid. The girls are getting better at switching between formations. Ending in a 1-1 tie was pretty good, but now that we know how they play, we will be ready to beat them next time.
